Matt Vickers is an accomplished businessperson who has been at the forefront of establishing links in a cross-cultural business environment since 1970. Matt is the owner of Vickers & Associates, a management and financial consultancy, that has a successful track record of matching the needs of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal potential business partners in organizing and developing business ventures.
Matt and the Royal Bank Financial Group were presented with a “End Racism Award for 1999” by the Government of BC on March 19, 1999. He was awarded the “Distinguished Service Award-Human Rights” by the Vancouver Multiculturalism Society in October 1999 that recognized contrbutions made by the Cross Cultural Awareness Training sessions that Matt developed and conducted for the bank and other organizations. Matt also received an “Outstanding Tsimshian Achievement Award” from the Vancouver local Tsimshian Tribal Council.

He is of Tsimshian/Heiltsuk & English heritage, married and has four children and three grandchildren.
